This year’s series of SFS concerts will offer a great variety of genres, including rap, jazz, folk or classical music. Discounted tickets are available for the holders of Festival Passes.

WWW Neurobeat

Friday, July 29 / 8.30 p.m. / Masaryk Square (Jesuit College)

The legendary Czech rap band who started playing during the turbulent decade of 1990s as a bunch of rapping graffiti sprayers and who have been crossing the limits up to today. In 2006, WWW withdrew from rap music and anchored in electro-industrial genres. The SFS concert will showcase their complete production and will be accompanied with a special projection.

Pavel Steidl: Recital

Pavel Steidl is an excellent guitar player whose musical interests range from the Baroque era up to modern days and whose virtuosity has gained recognition in more than fifty countries. At his SFS concert, he will play compositions by Jan Antonín Losy, Johann Sebastian Bach, Niccolo Paganini or Carlo Domeniconi.

The Eben Brothers

Jakub König

Jakub König’s solo concerts draw on the repertoire of three Czech bands – Obří broskev, Kittchen, and Zvíře jménem podzim – be it classical guitar songs, abstract ambient sets, minimalist electronic music or improvisations combined with author reading.

Midi Lidi

Midi Lidi released two new albums in June 2021. One of them reflects the current pandemic situation. And one of the latest MIDI Lidi’s singles was also supplemented with a music video by Magdalena Hrubá.

Boo

Boo was founded by guitar player Josef Ostřanský, drummer Pavel Koudelka, cellist Andrea Konstankiewicz, and multi-instrumentalist and singer Christoph Pajer in 1996. The band follows up on Brno’s traditional alternative scene, but it also introduces lots of new, modern elements.

Tomáš Boček

The band consists of Jan Kratochvíl and Barbora Ungerová who began their joint music career with their first album called Fonók in 2008. Their second album, HU, brought them the 2010 Czech Music Award for alternative music. More recently, their focus has moved to making music for computer games.

Libor Šmoldas Organ Trio

Vesna

Vesna is a purely female band founded in 2017 by Patricie Fuxová. The music in their repertoire oscillates between dreamy pop and folk music. In 2018, Vesna released their debut album Pátá bohyně (The Fifth Goddess) which won them the Czech Music Award for the discovery of the year.
