Are there any new interesting Slovak student films? Of course! Liquid Bread, a tragicomedy about a family of three generations living in union with God and alcohol, was selected by Cinéfondation for the La Cinef Selection at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Rheum, a dark comedy about one senior socialisation group, had a great success at KVIFF and San Sebastian Film Festival. And the documentary Long Live Death should also have your attention as it examines an unrelenting power of fascism.
New Czech student films will be showcased at the Student Film Marathon in Masaryk Square Open-Air Cinema.
